Calculation of age from date of birth

Our date of birth calculator is based on the standard Western system for computing age, using the Gregorian calendar. This system starts counting the age from zero years when you are born, incrementing by one year on each birthday.

There are different ways to determine your age. For instance, in the Hijri calendar, you must multiply your age by the factor 0.027 and then add the result to your age. Moreover, in the Chinese calendar, you must consider one extra year for your time of birth and another if the Chinese New Year has already happened. Therefore, someone 50 years old in the Western system will be 51 and 53 years old in the Hijri and Chinese calendars, respectively.
